Motorcross GP van Ierland: Tanel Leok wint zijn 1e Grote Prijs 31-08

WK-leider ziet Steve Ramon naderen

LEOK WINT IN IERLAND, RAMON NADERT
De Est Tanel Leok heeft in Ierland zijn eerste Grote Prijs uit zijn carrière gewonnen. Hij ging Ken De Dycker en Steve Ramon vooraf. Die laatste nadert in de WK-stand op leider Philippaerts.

Op het kunstmatige circuit in Ierland kwamen de Belgen goed voor de dag. In de eerste reeks was het Ken De Dycker die de plak zwaaide. Hij kon Leok maar net afhouden. In de tweede reeks was er niemand opgewassen tegen de Est.

Ramon en De Dycker werden wel tweede en derde in de 2e reeks. De Italiaan David Philippaerts voelt in de WK-tussenstand de hete adem van Steve Ramon in z'n nek

Ramon: "Duel tot laatste wedstrijd"
Steve Ramon: "Ik was na de eerste reeks ontgoocheld omdat ik in een positie zat waar ik punten kon goedmaken. De tweede reeks ging veel beter. Ik wist dat ik David Philippaerts moest voorbijgaan en na lang aandringen ben ik daar ook in geslaagd. Het zal een duel worden met Philippaerts tot de laatste manche. Ik wil volgende week een goeie zaak doen."
